Children

Children over the age of 10 are welcome. Please contact us to ask about exceptions for younger children.

For safety, we ask that children are never left unattended anywhere on the property (with special attention to the pool, swings, and the forest). Children are not permitted in the fire-bath or sauna.

All children, in regards to their safety and behavior, are under the complete responsibility of their guardians during the full length of the stay.

Smoking Policy

All interior spaces are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted, outside, where you see an ashtray. For the sake of our land, leaving cigarette butts on the ground is strictly forbidden. This policy includes electronic cigarettes. Guests smoking inside of any interior spaces or found littering may be charged up to 350€.

The Farm Animals

We care for the animals daily - and if you are interested in coming to meet them, please let us know. Otherwise, we would ask you please to not feed them or touch them.

The Wildlife

Please proceed with absolute respect for the surrounding nature. All forms of wildlife harassment, littering, or otherwise destructive behavior towards the ecosystem are strictly forbidden.

Dogs

Dogs (up to 2, less than 12kg) are permitted with a surcharge of 15€/night (22€/night for two dogs), and an additional safety deposit of 250€. Dogs are not permitted in the Library (unless they are contained), or in the valley with the goats. It is strictly required that you clean up after your pet in the garden. Your dog must be on a leash at all times when on the grounds. You are also responsible to prevent your dog from barking or disturbing other guests. Your dog must wear a flea collar. It is not permitted to leave dogs unattended in the room while you are off-property.

We don't accept dogs of breeds in categories 1 and 2 of French law (this includes attack dogs, guard dogs, and defense dogs).

Parties, Gatherings or Invitations

No parties or events are permitted. However, if you know people locally and would like to invite them on property for a visit, a picnic, or a walk - simply let us know in advance. A surcharge will be applicable for any unanticipated overnight guests.

Guests can receive a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of the reservation, as long as the cancellation occurs prior to 14 days before their arrival date.

No-shows will be fully charged.

All reservations are modifiable, subject to availability - according to dates (not length of stay). A reduction of the length of stay will be treated under the same policy as a cancellation.

Decency & Decorum

Any guests exhibiting verbally or physically aggressive or violent behavior towards the hosts, other guests, or any animals on the property will be asked to leave with no possibility of a refund for the remainder of their reservation.

Extreme intoxication to a level of disturbance for the hosts or other guests will be treated similarly.

Room Cleaning

For guests in our Suites ( La Voile, Le Nid, La Vallée), the cleaning of your room is included in the rate, however, we do ask that you leave your space in a respectful state.

Guests are required to move all furniture and equipment back to their original state and position prior to departure, and to collect all trash and recycling for efficient disposal.

For guests in our Cottage (Le Sanctuaire), we charge a supplemental fee of 30€ per stay for the cleaning.

Guests in the Cottage are also asked to return all furniture and equipment back to their original places, to gather all trash and recycling, to clean and return all dishes and cooking equipment to their places, and to return the interior of the refrigerator to its initial state.

In-Room Dining

With the exception of Le Sanctuary, we do not permit guests to take meals in their rooms. Please feel free to eat on the Terrace, in the Garden, or in the Greenhouse. If it's not exactly "picnic weather" outside and one of us is available, we're also happy to organize a table for you in the Library. See "Services."

Quiet Hours

We ask that guests have consideration for the experiences of others at all times, however - between 11pm and 7am, we ask for all guests to be particularly mindful of maintaining the quiet and peaceful atmosphere needed for resting.

Room Servicing

Unless otherwise requested, we do not enter the guests' rooms to tidy up during the stay. Please let us know if you would like us to.

Outdoor Fires

Guests are not allowed to make fires without speaking with us first, even in designated areas. We’re happy, however, to organize an evening in front of the fire for you - just let us know.

The Gate

We close the gate each night at 11pm and open again at 6am. If you plan on arriving later at night or leaving earlier in the morning, please let us know the night before. (You may also prefer to park in the Hearth Parking to have ease of access regardless of the hour)

Airing the Rooms

As is suggested by health experts, we recommend opening the windows and doors for 5 - 10 minutes a day to refresh the oxygen in every space. If windy, please block the windows and doors from slamming shut with a bag or chair while airing. Respiration is important for our buildings, as they have been ecologically renovated with natural materials. This is especially necessary during the summer.

Air Conditioning

As we have old stone buildings, the rooms tend to stay very comfortable. During July & August, it can help to draw the shades during the sunniest hours of the day. If you require a fan in the hottest months, just let us know.

Windows & Doors

Never leave the property with your windows or doors open. Here in this region, the weather is unpredictable. We have sometimes strong and sudden wind (that can slam windows and doors shut), as well as strong and sudden rain.

The Pool

Whether after a full day of hiking in Les Monts d’Arrée or walking the 2700 kilometers of the coastal path, or even just for an afternoon lounging peacefully - guests greatly appreciate our heated pool. The pool is accessible at all times. Cotton robes and recyclable flip flops are available to rent during your stay for 15€/person. The pool is 145cm deep. Please note that guests are 100% responsible for their own safety in and around the pool.

Accessibility

With the exception of Le Sanctuaire (fully accessible for people with mobility challenges), steps are present throughout the property, please contact us by phone if you have any limitations so that we can discuss whether the property and your room is the right fit based on your needs.

Health, Safety & Enhanced Cleaning

We follow all protocols recommended to address the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We use cleaning products approved by health experts - while also remaining true to our commitment for nontoxic cleaning. We wash all linens with high heat.  We clean and disinfect all guestrooms and attached private bathrooms, including, but not limited to, light switches, doorknobs, remotes, clocks, and all hard surfaces. In the hallways and common areas, we regularly disinfect surfaces, handrails, light switches and doorknobs. We have hand sanitizer on the reception. We ask that you use it immediately upon arrival. Hand sanitizers are also located throughout the Guesthouse for your convenience and use.

Security Deposit

We require a Security Deposit of €300. We understand that accidents sometimes happen. We reserve the right to charge for any damages that occur, even in excess of the security deposit if necessary. This includes linens, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (in both private and shared spaces). Please report all spills or damages to the hosts promptly. If no damage has occurred, the security deposit will be released without charge following check-out. Lost keys will incur a 50€ charge.

All guests are responsible for providing their own civil liability insurance in alignment with French law.

“La Taxe de Séjour”

French Holiday Tax is not included in your nightly rate. It is 0.70€ per person per night.

Standard Liability Disclaimer: We reserve the right to cancel a booking. We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party, vehicle or your possessions unless proven to be caused by ourselves or our employees. We reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions without notification.

All guests agree to stay for the specified period of their reservation and can not under any circumstances claim any right to maintain a presence on or use of the premises after that agreed period without initiating a modification (or additional) reservation; the booking confirmation email serves in lieu of contract.

Arrival by Plane:

Brest Bretagne Airport (BES) is the closest airport with international arrivals. Rennes, Nantes and Paris also provide good options, as train transfers to Morlaix station can be occasionally more pleasant and practical.

Arrival by Ferry:

Roscoff port provides connections through Brittany Ferries to and from Cork (Ireland), Bilbao (Spain), and Plymouth (UK). Cars are also welcome on the ferry crossing.

We’re also happy to welcome travelers arriving by foot, hiking the many trails in the area, or those arriving by bike on cycle tours. Additionally, for those arriving by horse, we have facilities available on site for stabling and feeding.

Arrival by Car or Camping Car:

If you arrive by car, in order to find our exact location, type “La TISSERANDE Saint Thégonnec” on Google Maps. When you enter the courtyard, you can park in one of the 3 spaces at the entry, or if they are all taken, to the right next to the stables. Watch out for Luna, a small white dog, not always careful with cars.

If you’re traveling in a recreational vehicle (RV), camping car, or caravan - we have sufficient space for parking in our East Field.

If you’re traveling by hybrid or electric car, we also have a charging station available upon request with advance notice. Please let us know.

If you don’t have a car, arrival by co-voiturage or ride-share is also possible via Blablacar.com (a popular means of transportation in France). Ideally, search for drop-off points in Morlaix, Pleyber-Christ, Saint Thégonnec, or Landivisiau.

A taxi or transport by one of the hosts can be organized in advance.
