Insider Tourist Tips

We are passionate about this region! Let us know what kind of experience you might be looking for, or what tickles your fancy and we’re happy to help you map out your day. After all, that’s what makes a guesthouse different from a hotel… we’re here to ignite the same passion for Brittany in you! (included with your stay, of course!)

Transportation

For those without a car looking for a retreat from the world - La TISSERANDE has all you could need for some peace and calm, some soul-searching, a romantic weekend in nature, or a digital detox.

We can provide pick-up or drop-off to:

the airport of Brest for 60€ each way

the train station of Morlaix for 25€ each way,

or the ferry port of Roscoff for 45€ each way.

If a host is not available at the time of your arrival or departre, we are also happy to organize a taxi for you (please note that taxi rates are slightly elevated in comparison with ours). Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance in either case.

The Stables

Traveling by Horse? Yes, it’s rare these days - but if you are one of the few traveling by hooved-companion (or on foot with a donkey) - we have stables, fenced pasture, and hay waiting for you. Please note: we do not take responsibility for caring for your horse during your stay. 20€/night per horse

Room Servicing

At La TISSERANDE, we are proud to demonstrate environmental sustainability and have a policy that includes water and power conservation. We will complete a weekly “room tidy” for all guests that are staying with us. Bed linens and towels will be replaced as required and we seek your assistance in helping us protect our environment in any way we can. If you require room servicing during your stay, please let us know. (Included in the room rate.)

Grocery Pick-up

If you’re here without a car and you’d like to provision - we can help you place an online order, and then we’ll pick it up and deliver it to your door. 20€

Dinner in the Library

Want to have dinner inside on the property during the week? As we don’t allow guests to take meals in their rooms - if we’re around, we’re happy to welcome you and your dinner in the Library. Just let us know a few hours in advance to be sure we’re available to provide dishes, cutlery, glasses, etc.

5€ per person, per meal.

Romantic Hot Tub Apéro

Interested in a romantic soak with your sweetheart at sunset?

A couple of glasses of cider, wine, or champagne with a plate of cheeses, fruit, chocolate, and various other delights... We couldn't be happier to organize this perfectly memorable moment for 2. Candle-lanterns, the sound of the owls calling from the forest... an invitation to swoon.

2 hours, 2 guests: 70€

Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance.

Technology & Connectivity

We do offer free wifi, but please note that because we have opted for a lifestyle surrounded by nature - we do not have high-debit or fiber connectivity speed.

We are located in a 'zone blanche,' meaning that we are outside of mobile reception optimization areas. We do have an antenna that allows for amplified mobile reception in the library and the terrace.

We do offer TVs, as an optional - to be installed upon request, however, these TVs are not connected to cable programming. They come with DVD players, and we offer a selection of DVDs in our Library. Furthermore, as many people now subscribe to various streaming platforms, we are also happy to provide HDMI cables for compatible laptops and will gladly assist with linking your laptop to the TV screen.

Generally speaking, we encourage all of our visitors to disconnect as much as possible from technology in order to reconnect as much as possible to themselves, their loved ones, and nature. This is part of the general ethos of the project. If you are interested in us facilitating a full digital-detox, please let us know. We'd be happy to share our own insights and tools about unplugging.

Concierge Service

A bit shy with your French? But maybe you still want to make sure that there’s a table waiting for you at the perfect restaurant? Let us know - we’ll make the call for you. (Included, of course!)

Laundry

We’re happy to do a load of laundry for you and to offer a drying rack. We use ecological, plant-based, body and earth-safe detergent. (Please do the sorting for us! We’re not responsible for the inevitable influence of the stray red sock or the drowned bluetooth earbuds.) 15€/load.
